My lifetime personal phone number (1-781-648-1500) is currently
forwarded to my
Linx account
(cf Linxweb).
When you call me, a typical session goes like this:
You have reached "Paul English". To hold for your party, stay on
the line. For other options, press #. (Pause.) To tell your party who
is calling please say your name after the tone, press any key when
finished. (Pause.) Please hold while I attempt to locate your party.
Linx will then ring up to four of my numbers (home, home office,
cell, office) in PARALLEL, so you can connect with me very quickly
without having to think about where I am. (Note my cell phone does not
work at my house, sigh.) I'm generally available unless I'm sleeping,
at a movie etc, or out of range on my boat.
To make things even faster for you, Linx will not bother asking for
your name if you are calling from a number which is in my personal
directory.
Else press 11 as soon as it answers, say your name, then press 1
again to avoid all prompts.
