Nicholas Lambrou of Arlington MA

I first met Nicholas when my old home was under rennovation. I was working on something in my basement and Nicholas came in to borrow a tool. When I gave him the tool he needed, he asked me if I knew the home owner, and I said that's me!

Nicholas and I became fast friends. He came to my family dinner with my siblings every year from about 2008 until his death in 2022. I was his caretaker for those 14 years -- Nicholas become my second Dad. We traveled to Greece together (he came to see me present at the MIT association of Greece) and twice to California. We also went to several Red Sox games together.

When I had breaks between meetings, working from home, I would sneak over for a cup of tea and to hear stories about his life. Nicholas was ever the optimist, and I respected the values he spoke about during the last ten years of his life.

Nicholas was also an incredible gardener, and he helped me and Rachel plant our own successful garden at our home.

You can read read about his life here. (If you have trouble accessing the book, email me.)
