Interjection infection. One of my colleagues recently pointed out the habit at my office of introducing new topics with "so" as in "so did you watch the sox last night"?

As soon as she pointed this out, you could not help but hear "so" jumping out at you all day long. :) We thought this curse came from a former company where many of us used to work, but then I started paying attention to non-work friends and family, and realized this speech sloppiness exists all over the place. Even my 91 year old aunt introduces new topics with "so" all the time.

This has just eclipsed my notice of "like" used as an interjection, although that one still annoys me quite a bit too.

The next interjection I'd like to ban is the use of "you know" every few sentences by some people.

So I don't know what to do about this, it is like, annoying, and I find myself using these interjections all the time around friends who use them, you know?
