Miners Trapped is one of the hot stories of the last few weeks. But where are the obvious questions?
I don't know the answers, but why is the media not focusing on these questions? ¶10:00 AM; digg
- How to prevent miners from dying, even if trapped? How about passing a law that the CEO goes to jail when the emergency respirators are not tested by a third party every month? Or, what new inventions could do a better job in keeping trapped miners alive? Is it possible to have a type of tubing that could be dragged into any mine to supply air and communications?
- How to more quickly find miners when trapped? Is it possible to invent an automatic position reporting device which works even in mines?
I don't know the answers, but why is the media not focusing on these questions? ¶10:00 AM; digg
